The American Legion Department of Minnesota operates the Legionville School Patrol Training Center.  Legionville, which is located on the shores of North Lake approximatley 7 miles north of Brainerd, Minnesota, trains school safety patrol members from throughout Minnesota.  Two to four students from most Saint Paul Public and non-public schools attend Legionville each summer.

Brainerd.  The current Legionville facility, which consists of 1,707 acres with 1,500 feet of shoreline, opened in 1957.

The patrol members who attend Legionville return to their schools as leaders and usually serve as Captains and lieutenants of the building school patrol.  The Legionville graduates assist the teacher assigned as building school patrol supervisor in the training and supervision of the patrol.
